Cancellation policy

Workshops happen on a live shoreline, so the weather and the tide always have the final say. Here is exactly how postponements, refunds and safety responsibilities work when you book with East Neuk Seaweed.

Weather & postponement

• On the Rocks workshops are subject to weather conditions and can be postponed at short notice.
• Every effort will be made to give a day’s notice prior to postponement, but given the changeable nature of Scottish weather this may not always be possible.
• If workshops are postponed due to adverse weather conditions, participants will be booked onto the next available workshop.
• If a workshop is postponed by East Neuk Seaweed and a suitable alternative workshop cannot be found, payment will be refunded minus a 10% admin fee.

Cancelling your booking

• Plans change — cancel with at least 24 hours’ notice and you will receive a full refund.
• Failure to attend a workshop that has not been postponed by East Neuk Seaweed will result in loss of payment, with no refund given.

Safety responsibilities

• All participants will be given access to safety information before the commencement of workshops. It is the responsibility of all participants to have read this information and to be aware of the potential risks of intertidal foraging.
• It is the responsibility of all group representatives to share all safety information given to them by East Neuk Seaweed with all members of their group, before workshops commence.
• East Neuk Seaweed reserves the right to refuse any participant that does not adhere to all safety instructions and wear all PPE given by East Neuk Seaweed.
