Parts of the Dabberlocks

Here I have named the different parts of a typical Dabberlocks plant. They can be found individually or also growing in groups, often all clinging to the same rock with their own holdfast.

When harvesting from the wild make a clean cut 3-4 inches above the Sporophyll, leave the Sporophyll intact to ensure next seasons harvest. Identify and cut one blade at a time, fully mature blades grow up to 2 metres long and 15 cms wide, so just a few blades are needed for a good meal.
